Day 1Cusco – Bamboo Lodge

In the early morning, we will arrange for your pickup directly from your Cusco hotel. Our journey from the majestic Andes to the enchanting Amazon will commence as we embark on a scenic drive, accompanied by our private transportation. Throughout the trip, we will make several strategic stops to enhance your experience.

Our initial destination will be the charming town of Ninamarca, known for its ancient burial towers dating back to the Lupacas civilization. Here, our knowledgeable guide will lead you on a captivating tour of this historical site, providing insightful explanations and shedding light on its cultural significance.

Continuing onward, we will proceed to the vibrant town of Paucartambo, renowned for its rich folklore. Day 2Bamboo Lodge – Boca Manu – Hummingbird Lodge

On Day 2 of the Manu Reserved Zone Tours 7 Days, we continue our journey through the captivating rainforest, traveling from Bamboo Lodge to Hummingbird Lodge.

We start by departing from Bamboo Lodge and making our way to Atalaya port, where we board a boat to navigate the serene waters of the Alto Madre de Dios river. This river journey provides us with breathtaking views of the surrounding rainforest and the opportunity to spot diverse wildlife along the riverbanks.

As we venture deeper into the rainforest, we arrive at Boca Manu, a significant junction where the Alto Madre de Dios River meets the Manu River. Instead of continuing along the Manu River, we remain in this area, as today’s journey does not include navigating the Manu River.

From Boca Manu, we head directly to Hummingbird Lodge, which is located in this very region. Nestled within the rainforest, the lodge offers a tranquil and immersive experience in the heart of nature.

Day 3Hummingbird Lodge – Casa Matsiguenka Lodge

Our exploration of the captivating rainforest continues as we embark on an exciting journey from Hummingbird Lodge to Casa Matsiguenka.

We start our day by navigating the Madre de Dios river, immersing ourselves in the beauty of the surrounding rainforest and keeping a lookout for diverse wildlife along the riverbanks.

As we transition to the Manu river, we reach the Limonal Control, where we encounter dedicated park rangers who work tirelessly to protect and conserve the natural wonders of the region. Here, we have the opportunity to learn more about their vital role in safeguarding the rainforest ecosystem.

Continuing our adventure, we arrive at Casa Matsiguenka, a community that offers a unique glimpse into the traditional way of life and culture of the Matsiguenka people. Day 4Casa Matsiguenka – Cocha Salvador

On Day 4 of the Manu Reserved Zone Tours 7 Days, we embark on a captivating journey from Casa Matsiguenka to Lake Cocha Salvador. As we venture deeper into the reserve, we arrive at this picturesque lake, surrounded by lush rainforest.

On Day 6 of the Manu Reserved Zone Tours 7 Days, we bid farewell to El Dorado Lodge and embark on a journey along the Madre de Dios river towards the Palotoa Ecological Reserve.

As we navigate the winding river, surrounded by lush vegetation and the sounds of the jungle, we have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, birds, and even the elusive jaguar.

Our destination, the Palotoa Ecological Reserve, is a pristine and biodiverse area within the Manu Reserved Zone. Day 7Palotoa Ecological Reserve – Cusco

After breakfast, we will take the boat to Atalaya port. Here we will meet our private transportation and will drive back to Cusco. We will be reaching Cusco at around 07:30 PM.
