Our 4 days Manu Adventure Tour will take you to the Andes Mountain range and into the cloud forest. Our English speaking local naturalist tour guide will be accompanying you on a hike. You will have plenty of opportunity to spot the flora and fauna, trails and the indigenous culture and traditions.

To enhance your Amazonian Experience, we will be accommodating you in our ecological Jungle lodges nestled amidst the rainforest. Here you can take a refreshing dip in the natural hot springs. We will also be doing short night hikes to spot some nocturnal creatures in the pristine areas of  amazon rainforest.

Itinerary

Day 1Cusco to Bamboo Lodge

We depart from Cusco early in the morning at 6:00 a.m. and embark on an exciting journey to the impressive Manu National Park. The first stage of our trip takes us through the picturesque village of Huancarani, where we will pass  and our guide  will  explain and soak up the local culture.

Continuing our adventure, we head to Paucartambo, a charming colonial town known for its colorful festivals and traditional architecture. Here we will take  a break fast, an also  Here we will have the opportunity to explore the town and learn about its fascinating history.

Next, we head to the Acjanaco  Pass, a high-altitude viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Andean landscape. Contemplate the majestic beauty of the mountains and capture unforgettable photographs.

 We then continue our journey to San Pedro, descending from the pass and entering the pristine Manu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet.

Our expert guide accompanies us as we venture into the heart of the rainforest, encountering exotic flora and fauna along the way. We spend the night at the cozy Bamboo Lodge, surrounded by the enchanting sounds of the jungle.

Day 2Bamboo Lodge to Palotoa Ecological Reserve

After a restful night at Bamboo Lodge, we start the day with a hearty breakfast, which gives us energy for the adventures that await us. We leave the lodge and head to the port of Atalaya, where our river journey begins.

Along the way we will stop to visit the hummingbird sanctuary, where we will have the opportunity to appreciate different species of hummingbirds, and also other bird species, and with luck, perhaps monkeys.

arriving at the porto of Atalaya Aboard a comfortable motorboat, we navigated the winding waters of the river, surrounded by lush vegetation and a symphony of exotic bird songs. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife such as caimans, capybaras, and species of monkeys.

As we traveled downstream, through the confluence of the Alto Madre de Dios River, a magnificent waterway that runs through the heart of the Amazon rainforest. The landscape becomes even more fascinating, with dense vegetation lining the banks of the river.

Our first destination will be a small lagoon, where we can observe many species of birds. We will also explore the lagoon on floating rafts, where our guide will explain the biodiversity of this place.

From there, we’ll head to the stunning Palotoa Ecological Reserve, a hidden gem adjacent to Manu National Park. This private reserve is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including tapirs, monkeys, jaguars, and an incredible diversity of birds.

Upon arrival at the reserve, we settle into our accommodations and immerse ourselves in the wonders of the jungle. We embark on guided nature walks, observing the vibrant flora and fauna and gaining a deeper insight into the intricate ecosystems that thrive here.

Day 3Exploring Palotoa Ecological Reserve

We woke up early and embarked on a half-day exploration of the fascinating Palotoa Ecological Reserve. This private reserve offers a multitude of activities that showcase the incredible biodiversity of this place.

Our activities included jungle exploration, monkey searching, birdwatching, tree climbing via vines, survival lessons, night walk, and overnight stay in a hiden house deep within the forest.

Our expert guide takes us on immersive nature walks, where we will have the opportunity to encounter colorful bird species. Marvel at the diversity of plant life, including towering and giant trees, intricate orchids, and medicinal plants.

Keep your eyes peeled for sunbathing caimans, brightly colored birds perched on hanging branches, and, with a little luck, the caiman or anaconda.

In addition to wildlife and natural beauty, the Palotoa Ecological Reserve also offers cultural experiences, allowing us to interact with local indigenous communities and learn about their traditional ways of life.

In the afternoon, we have an optional activity, a visit to the Shintuya hot springs.
This natural pool, being volcanic water, contains minerals that are very good for the body. There, we will relax in its crystal-clear waters before returning to our lodge.

Day 4Palotoa Ecological Reserve to Cusco

On the final day of our Manu National Park Tour, we bid farewell to the Palotoa Ecological Reserve, leaving behind cherished memories of the rainforest. Our journey back to Cusco begins with a boat ride along the serene rivers.

Leaving the reserve behind, we navigate the Alto Madre de Dios River, taking in the breathtaking scenery and reflecting on the remarkable experiences of the past days. We arrive at the Atalaya port, where we bid adieu to the river and continue our adventure by road.

Driving through the picturesque landscapes, we make our way towards Paucartambo, 

As we leave Paucartambo, we embark on the final leg of our journey, heading back to Cusco. The road winds through stunning mountain vistas, offering panoramic views of the Andean landscape. We arrive in Cusco in the afternoon, bringing an end to our unforgettable Manu National Park adventure.
